The restoration commenced on 8th August 2005 and was completed on 18th February 2006.  A month-by-month summary with photos is shown below.
August and September 2005 - car dismantled, body and chassis restored and prepared for painting

Rebuilding of the bodyshell commences on the strengthened chassis, with engine and gearbox still in place for correct weighting

Bodyshell nears completion, with roll cage and original aluminium hard top added.

Fully-strengthened chassis is ready for powder-coating in gloss white, as the works cars.  White enabled any cracks to be spotted easily.

October 2005 - Chassis is powder-coated and re-assembled as a rolling chassis, bodyshell returns from paint shop

Front suspension assembly completed

Rear suspension assembly completed - uprated springs and dampers as works cars.  Standard differential and 3.7:1 ratio.

Chassis is ready for re-uniting with the bodyshell.

November 2005 - 7VC is rolling again!  Re-assembly of the body, including the roll cage, commences

December 2005 - Bodyshell is completed, wiring loom largely completed, rebuilt engine and gearbox refitted, engine ancilliary components refitted.
